Good Saturday afternoon everyone. I have a few of the memory boxes finished. Here is a sample just to give you an idea of one of the many things they can be used for. This one is a graduation box to be filled with memories from that special time. These also make great boxes for weddings, baby showers, once in a lifetime vacations and more.They can be custom engraved on the top lid, the bottom and on the inside of the lid. Okay everyone. I need your opinion. I took your advice and started making the memory boxes. I should have them done here in the next week or so. I want your opinion on my latest addition to our wedding/house warming gift. We now have a knife block set. I have spoke with several suppliers until I finally found what I was looking for. The knife set is made of hammered stainless steel and are razor sharp. The knife block can be propped up with its kickstand, laid flat or mounted on a wall. The knives are held in place by several strong magnets and can be placed on the front or the back. The knife block can also be custom engraved. Let me know what you think. I have been thinking about putting the serving board, coasters and this knife block together as one big beautiful package at a great price. Let me know if that sounds like a good idea

Good Sunday morning everyone. I just want to take a second and say that on this date 30 years ago my life changed. I didn't know how much it would change my view of life and how the only enemy I would constantly fight would be time. On this date my one and only son was born. Without even trying (or knowing) he has taught me to be a better person. Through him I have learned patience, compassion, understanding but most of all what true love really is. I now know what my dad saw when he looked at me in his golden years and I miss those looks. Happy birthday son. I love you.

Okay folks. I need your input. As a request I have started making the serving boards and coaster sets. Let me know what you think and if I should keep making them. I sold several sets over the holidays. They make beautiful wedding gifts or house warming gifts. I sell them individually or as a set (for a discount). Personalization is always included, The serving tray with utilities is $47.88. The coaster with marble stand is $43.08. The serving tray and coaster set combo is $78.70. I received some sad news today. One of the most influential people in my wood working career has left us. It is with a heavy heart that I have to say the man (the legend) that inspired me to be a scroll saw guy has passed. Steve Good is known throughout the world ( litterally) as the scroll saw guy. He has/had a scoll saw blog where he posted thousands upon thousands of scroll saw plans that he designed and made for free. He was a passionate person when it came to lifting up wood workers and teaching the craft. I have followed him for over 15 years and he always inspired me to be better and help anyone that needed it. I never met him nor did I speak with him on the phone but we did share emails from time to time. Due to his passion I went from "playing" with a scroll saw and turned it into a full time job. I will miss him greatly but I know he is still inspiring folks down here while he guides us from above. Good afternoon to all of my faithful friends, followers and customers. I need your input. I am thinking about making wooden memory boxes. I will be making them out of pine and I will stain them whatever color you would like. They will be 8 1/2"L x 8"W x 2.5"D in size. We will be able to engrave the top and if you want the inside of the lid with a special thought. These will make great graduation, wedding and baby gifts. With your choice of stain, all of the engraving, a felt liner in the bottom and a gift box to put it in we are looking at a price point of $32.00 to $36.00 per box. We could also do these in bulk for a team gift, business gift or for graduation at a lower price. Let us know if there is any interest in this. If so I will make a few and post them here.
