♥We Need Your Help♥

This bookstore has been a dream come true for us. Over the past year and a half, Story Keepers Books has become more than just a place to buy books—it has become a community. We've hosted author events, book clubs, classes, and made so many wonderful friends along the way.

Today, we're asking for your help.
We need to raise $7,500 by June 28 to keep Story Keepers Books open. Without immediate support, we risk losing the store we've worked so hard to build.
To help us reach that goal, we're holding a Save Our Store Sale:

📚Everything is 50% off (excludes local author and artist items and rare and specialty items)

You can also support us by making a donation in-store or through our website.
https://storykeepersbooks.com/products/save-our-store

Every purchase, donation, share, and word of encouragement helps.

If Story Keepers Books has ever helped you find a great book, discover a new author, attend an event, or feel part of a community, we hope you'll consider helping us save it.

♥Erin & Derik

Babylon in Thelema: The Sacred Mother of Liberation

In Thelema, Babalon is one of the most powerful and misunderstood archetypes. She is not a figure of evil, but rather a symbol of freedom, divine feminine power, spiritual sovereignty, and the courage to embrace one’s true nature.

Often depicted as the Scarlet Woman riding the Beast and holding the Cup of Babalon, she represents the sacred vessel that receives all experience without judgment. Her cup contains the blood of the saints—not as a symbol of violence, but as the surrender of the ego, limitations, and false identities that keep us from becoming our authentic selves.

Babalon teaches us that spiritual growth requires vulnerability, passion, courage, and the willingness to transform. She invites seekers to release fear, shame, and societal expectations in order to discover their True Will—the central concept of Thelemic philosophy.

Though her imagery draws from the Book of Revelation and ancient mystery traditions, Thelemites view Babalon as a sacred force of empowerment rather than condemnation. She embodies the wild, untamed aspects of the divine feminine that cannot be controlled, silenced, or confined.

Whether viewed as a goddess, an archetype, or a mystical principle, Babalon continues to inspire those walking a path of self-discovery, liberation, and spiritual awakening.

“Love is the law, love under will.”

🕯️ Today We Remember the Salem Witch Trials 🕯️

On this day, we pause to remember the victims of the Salem Witch Trials—one of history’s most enduring reminders of the dangers of fear, prejudice, misinformation, and mass hysteria.

Between 1692 and 1693, more than 200 people were accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts. Nineteen innocent people were executed, many others were imprisoned, and countless families were forever changed. Their stories serve as a powerful reminder of what can happen when suspicion replaces evidence and fear outweighs compassion.

For many modern witches, pagans, and spiritual practitioners, Salem stands not only as a tragic chapter in history but also as a symbol of resilience, religious freedom, and the right to walk one’s path without persecution.

Today, we honor those who suffered, remember those who were lost, and reaffirm our commitment to creating communities built on understanding, acceptance, and respect for all beliefs.

“We remember not to dwell in the past, but to ensure its lessons are never forgotten.”

🖤 Blessed Be.
