Some projects just "click" when they come together. The Tigercat Flowage has so many cool shapes and intricate details, it's just fun to look at. Janelle was a hoot to work with on this map!

South Long Lake has been in my radar for some time now. It was great to have an opportunity to make the map. Quite happy with how it turned out.

This is officially the largest lake map I’ve attempted so far.

At over 7,000 cubic inches, the finished piece will use roughly 14 times the amount of wood as one of my standard maps, and will weigh over 100 pounds.

I put a full-sized map of Gull Lake and a Home Depot bucket next to it for scale because photos really don’t communicate how large this thing actually is.

And yes, that's my actual workbench. Chaos = craft 😁

Still a long way to go. Intimidating but excited.
