This makes it all appear so easy! In reality, it was about 16 months start to finish for this incredible renovation. But what is amazing to me is how you can dream up a space on paper and get so brilliantly close. It amazes me every time.

We did it! We made it to 10K! And we do not take that accomplishment lightly. We are extremely grateful for each and every follower who finds our work worthy of a view and often times a šŸ©µ. Thank you. šŸ™

Martha Dayton Design will be donating $10,000- one dollar for every follower. And I did not do this alone! I have an incredible team whose talent, hard work, dedication, and personalities show through on our Instagram feed. So each member of my team was invited to choose a nonprofit organization to whom we will donate. These are near and dear to their hearts. Today we are thrilled to be able to give the following organizations each $1000.

Breakthrough T1D
Northside Boxing
The Bond Between
Valley Friendship Club
Pet Haven MN
Imagination Library
Cure Alzheimerā€™s Fund
National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI)
Helenā€™s Pink Sky Foundation

If any of these incredible organizations inspire you, consider a donation. They are all tagged for your convenience.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of our success.

Special shout out to: Lauren Colvin , Kory Kevin and lauren goodchild for having my Instagram back! Itā€™s a team effort.

In our world of design, inspiration and learning are everything. Gaining new experiences, new friends and new opportunities is magical. Being surrounded with like minded people is truly breathtaking.

The feeling of completing a project for a design team is rather indescribableā€¦..perhaps itā€™s like completing a marathon or winning the US Open (Iā€™ve never done either so I canā€™t compare šŸ˜‰) but the feeling of pride and accomplishment and sheer joy for our clients is deep and fierce and palpable.

Hereā€™s a recently finished new home build- and top to bottom we are full of all the good feelings.

Hey design people (architects, builders, craftsmen and designers) - help describe ā€˜the feelingā€™- maybe you can put better words to it!

Have you ever wondered what a design intern does for the summer? Iā€™m sure it varies from firm to firm but at Martha Dayton Design, our intern, the fabulous Nick did everything that the designers do. He is entering his second year at SCAD- one of the top art colleges in the country. His work ethic was beyond exceptional, his smile infectious, his way with our clients was very natural and his ability to just step in and help will be greatly missed. Good luck this fall Nick, we are excited to have you back at the holidays and we miss you already! šŸ§”šŸ©µšŸ’›

This little beauty is getting a faceliftā€¦..but donā€™t worry, we are preserving the charm- just taking away the mold underneath the tile and updating a few details. Updates donā€™t mean stripping away history and originality- sometimes they are also about preserving the integrity of the structure. Canā€™t wait to show you the finished results.
