Exciting projects officially broke ground in Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools!
We joined to celebrate the groundbreaking of two exciting projects that will make a lasting impact on the community:

The new Creekside Early Education Center/Mayhew Creek Community Center is a collaborative project between the school district and the City of Sauk Rapids that will create a shared space for learning, connection, and community engagement. The project will be complete for the Fall 2027 school year.

The new Storm Activities Complex will fuel school spirit and activities for generations to come with two multipurpose fields and amenities.

We’re excited to see construction underway and proud to be part of projects that will serve the Sauk Rapids-Rice communities for years to come!

Construction is underway at Franklin Central High School’s Student Activity Center in Indianapolis. The 63,000 SF project includes Mondo USA athletic flooring across four basketball courts and a full-size indoor running track designed to support athletics and everyday activity for students and staff.

Breaking ground on the future of learning in Haxtun School District, Colorado!

Last week, community members, district leaders, and project partners gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of Haxtun School District’s PK-12 addition and renovation project - a transformational investment in students, staff, and the broader community.

The improved school will feature modern learning environments, expanded Career & Technical Education / Vo-Ag spaces, updated athletic facilities, outdoor learning areas, and flexible spaces designed to support collaboration, safety, and community connection.

A powerful example of innovative engineering in a historic building.

Our team was honored to attend a special event at the Washington-Kosciusko Elementary School, celebrating a unique geothermal system implemented inside two of Winona Area Public Schools' historic elementary buildings. The event coincided with the district receiving a $5.5 million federal rebate tied to the projects through the Inflation Reduction Act, one of the largest geothermal-related payouts awarded to a school district in the nation.

With Minnesota Senator Tina Smith joining as a special guest, she and other attendees toured the facility and learned firsthand how innovative engineering solutions are helping schools reduce energy use, improve indoor comfort, and invest in a more sustainable future.

Wold mechanical engineer Brady Meister guided attendees through the geothermal system design, sharing how the technology works, why it was chosen for the historic building retrofit, and how it supports long-term efficiency while preserving the character of the school. Wold education leader Ben Beery also joined a roundtable discussion following the tour, providing additional insight into the project’s vision, scope, and overall impact.

Projects like this demonstrate how thoughtful design can create healthier, more resilient learning environments for future generations - all while advancing sustainability goals for districts and communities.

Celebrating the next chapter for Family Courts in Hennepin County!
Following a long-range facilities master plan and post-pandemic reassessment, this newly completed Family Courts Relocation brings critical services into a more centralized, accessible location.

The project includes 15 new courtroom and hearing spaces specifically designed for different purposes including filling a gap in the Government Center by providing a high-profile trial courtroom and hearing room where proceedings with a large number of litigants, high public interest and media coverage can occur.

The project also provides dedicated administrative offices for the Family Courts Division and a consolidated Self-Help Center designed to better support community members navigating the court system.

We joined Maury Regional Health to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the new Orthopedic Surgical Institute within the Pavilion Building on campus!

Today, we pause to remember two remarkable individuals whose impact continues to shape who we are.

We honor former President Michael Cox, whose leadership, vision, and dedication helped shape Wold into the firm it is today. His legacy lives on through transformative projects like the City of St. Paul/Ramsey County City Hall & Courthouse, work that continues to serve the community, as well as through his deep commitment to mentorship. Many of those he guided now lead the firm.

We also remember former Healthcare Principal Rick Moore, who devoted his career to designing senior living environments. He often shared that his passion was rooted in giving a voice to those not always present in the design process, an approach that helped lay the groundwork for standards now widely embraced in senior living design.

Their legacies live on in the work we do and the values that guide us each day.
