It’s been such a lovely fall, I’ve been trying to squeeze in as many meals on the patio as possible. I was setting the table for friends coming for dinner and, as always, had so much fun making the table pretty.

This CHAMOIS tablecloth is one of my favorites! The prettiest deep green and such beautiful linen. I found the vintage mauve napkins at an estate sale and use them all the time. I love the contrast of those two colors together, especially for fall!

And Tangletown Gardens came through again for the little details. I found this beautiful green pumpkin there, and they’ve added dried flowers from their farm this season. Loved these so much I may have to use them again on the Thanksgiving table!

I don’t usually put a diffuser right on the table, especially outside, but the colors and mood felt so Como I couldn’t resist!

Still thinking about my trip to Florida last week and feeling really grateful for some very longtime friendships.

The first part of the trip I was in Palm Beach at the wedding of my friend Becky’s daughter. Becky and I met over 20 years ago when I worked at Fallon. There are six of us in this longtime group of Fallon friends, and we met back when some of us were newly married, barely parents, or neither. And now here we were attending the wedding of one of our kids. It was such a treat to be part of such a special occasion.

I then headed down to Miami to visit another very dear friend, Jane. She and my sis met in Italy, pre-Alora days, when they were both working in the design business. She kept coming back to Italy after I moved there, and over the years we traveled a ton together. It was so much fun seeing her and reminiscing about all those memories.

And I'm grateful for a little me time in between too. Tropical beauty, tasty food and the hot Florida weather felt terrific!

Hanging on to these last bits of summer with my favorite seasonal sandwich. Crispy bacon, buttery bread, perfectly ripe tomatoes… and a pretty hand wash by the sink, because why not. 😉
