We’ll be at Shopcation, a spring pop-up market hosted by at Pinstripes in Edina. It’s a relaxed morning full of local makers, thoughtful products, and small businesses from around the Twin Cities.

If you feel like browsing, discovering something new, grabbing a coffee, and supporting women owned businesses, this is a great way to spend part of your Saturday.

We’re excited to pop up with Madewell again, this time at two new locations. 🤍

We’ve had the pleasure of building a long standing relationship with Madewell over the years, and it means so much to continue partnering with a brand that supports small businesses and independent makers. Getting to bring our candles into new Madewell spaces and meet new faces in their community is something we’re really grateful for.

If you love relaxing sounds, candle making, and cozy home rituals, these little moments inside the LaSoph studio is for you. The quiet process of pouring wax, setting wooden wicks, and creating eco conscious candles is one of the most calming parts of what I do.

Every LaSoph candle is hand poured with intention to create a spa inspired, calming atmosphere at home. Sometimes the most mindful moments are the simple ones.

We’ll be at Wandering Leaf Brewing tomorrow from 1PM–5PM as part of their Valentine’s Weekend Experience — grateful for moments of connection in a year that’s started heavy in our community.

If you’re looking for something low-key to do this weekend — a local Valentine’s event, a cozy brewery afternoon, a little self-care moment — come say hi.
We’ll have our eco-conscious, wooden wick candles set up and ready to smell in person (which is honestly the best way to experience them).

Three years ago today, Sophie went to heaven.

And every year since has carried its own weight.

Today feels especially heavy.

We’re holding space for Sophie, for the grief that never really leaves, and for everything our city is still carrying right now. The anger. The sadness. The fear. None of it has disappeared, and we don’t want to pretend that it has.

Because of that weight, I don’t have the mental or emotional capacity to create a new reel to honor Sophie today. That choice comes from care, not avoidance. We do have a few reels already in our feed that share her story, and when we have more space—when things feel a little less heavy—we’ll create something new for her. She deserves that presence.

As someone whose family comes from immigrant roots, what’s happening in our city hits deeply. It’s personal. It’s layered. And it makes days like today feel even heavier to carry.

Sophie is the reason LaSoph exists. She is love, memory, and the beginning of everything we’ve built here. Today we’re honoring her quietly, with honesty, and with the grace to rest when we need to.

This year looked different than I imagined, in the best and hardest ways.

Becoming a new mom while continuing to build LaSoph asked me to slow down, soften expectations, and redefine what “progress” really means.

There were days filled with stillness, learning, and quiet wins. Days where rest mattered just as much as productivity. Days where showing up looked different, and that had to be enough.

LaSoph continues to be rooted in intention, care, and the belief that calm is something we can choose, even in full seasons of life. Thank you for being part of this year, for supporting a small business, and for choosing mindfulness alongside me.

Here’s to carrying this energy forward: gently, thoughtfully, and with gratitude.
