This is Hank. Many years ago Bonnie wanted to open a business. I asked her what she was thinking about. Then I asked her to write a mission statement about what she wanted to accomplish with her vision. We just came across what she wrote down. I truly believe that she accomplished her mission with the help of a great team. I’m proud of her.

Bonnie is doing her thing. Fluffing greens. She is making slow progress after her broken femur but she is progressing. We are still missing all our customers and friends that we would see during this season. We wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and as Bonnie would say, “Make memories “. Blessings to you all.

As many of you know, I seldom post unless it’s about Bonnie. But I think it bears a little celebrating that we have been married 60 years on September 5. As I always say, We have been happily married for 50 years which isn’t bad out of 60. Bonnie has been my constant supporter since we were married at the age of 18 and 19. My dad had to sign for me because men weren’t legal until 21. In fact she had to sign for our first refrigerator from Wards. We have had our ups and downs physically and mentally. We have agreed and disagreed. After all, I can’t always be right. Bonnie, I love you more and more each day. Happy Anniversary!

Bonnie has been home over a week. After 28 days of hospitalization and 60 hours of therapy, she is now able to walk again with a walker and assistance. We are on home health for now and anticipate going back to out patient therapy within a month or so. We didn’t know they rang the bell upon completion of their hospitalization therapy. She went from having difficulty standing to moving around. We are thankful for your prayers and ask the you continue to lift our son, Jason and our daughter-in-law, Laurie in your prayers. May God continue to bless you and yours.

UPDATE ON BONNIE

After some home therapy for PT and OT, they felt that Bonnie would progress a lot faster in a more structured setting. She is now in the Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls. It is a very nice facility and a nice room only 10-12 minutes from our house. The plan is to keep her here somewhere between 10 days to two weeks with the goal of her walking again.

She was reflecting a few days ago (as she frequently does ) on how much she missed the store but moreover she misses all of you who graced us with your presence there.

BONNIE UPDATE! Bonnie will be leaving Bethany on Wednesday because the pain from the broken femur has hindered her theraputic recovery

Medicare will not pay if no progress is made. We will be going home in SF and having some in home physical therapy. Thank all of you for your prayers and support. You are a blessing to us.

Bonnie update. This will be our last update for the near future. She is at Bethany Home in Brandon for rehab. It is almost like starting over for her. She does have pain and once we can control that, rehab should be easier. We thank you for all the prayers, love, and concern for her. She is an amazing woman. Many of you will ask for her address.
