I received several calls this week from people "looking for local honey and heard Kiowa is the best"☺️🙌

And don't even get me started on the comment sections when someone asks for local honey in the local sale groups... 👀😂 I couldn't comment on the last one but I saw it. Ya'll have no brakes and I love that for us.

The promotion, the reviews, the tags, the word of mouth- those things do more than paid advertisement would ever do!

You guys have no idea how much it means to us and "Thank you" just doesn't feel like enough... so...

Everyone always asks, HOW DID YOU LEARN BEEKEEPING?!

So heres the shortest possibly story from each of our master beekepers here at Kiowa Honey Company with no explanation 😂

Carissa: "There was a recession 😂 its the only thing I could find paying overtime, I almost quit the first time I got stung"

Manuel: "I went to work at my normal farm job in California one day and my boss said 'Manuel we're going to buy some bees and you're going to learn how to keep them' and I did"

Junior: "I got drafted, went pro very young"

📣 schedule update 📣
The farm store will be closed Saturday (9/5) due to unforseen circumstances! But will remain open TODAY (Thursday 3-6pm). I try to remain consistent but it has been difficult with Manuel traveling!

If you need something from the farm store, feel free to order online, orders will continue to be filled today and part of tomorrow, then will pause until Monday.

If you can't make it out today, don't worry, you can still find our most popular honey & honey butter in a ton of places in town (see our pinned post or our website for details on retail locations) but the farm store does remain the one single place you can find ALL of our products under one tiny roof!

I know we are on the list along with Chapman Family Farms & Dairy .... but did you guys know that without Chapmans Family Farms & Dairy that Kiowa Honey Company wouldnt even exist? Thats right. We tried to start selling honey in 2023 after being encouraged by Melanie Chapman to start, but after my daughter's severe medical issues we were unable. But Melanie didn't give up on us and she continued to encourage us to start. We successfully launched in 2024 with her help and social media promotion. We, along with many other farm to table businesses, have Melanie to thank for getting us started 🫶 We will never forget it and you shouldn't either! Vote for Chapman Family Farms for 3rd quarters panhandle favorite business!

📣RE-STOCK - Avocado Everything Bagel Honey Butter📣

Did you know this honey butter started it's production in March 2023? Or one could argue that it started the prior fall!

And no, its not old. I just whipped it up 2 days ago. But the bees were working hard since 2023 to produce the avocado honey! We extracted it, stored in sealed barrels, and let it crystallize.

Now it has a new life in 2026! We gently warm the barrel to make the honey pumpable, transfer to the bottling tank, aerate the butter and proprietary everything spice blend and Smokinrwb smoked salt before we WHIP IT 🧈

So yes, this honey butter started in 2023 just so it could end up in your fridge in 2026!!

The boys have completed their first pull of honey! The bees are still bringing in nectar so we will see what happens this next month.
