Rhythmic Walls Decorative Painting & Design Studio Rhythmic Walls Decorative Painting and Design Studio creates incredible hand painted custom imagery

Rhythmic Walls Decorative Painting and Studio creates incredible imagery for interiors. We understand surfaces have the power to change environments, how the look, how they work, how they feel. Our aesthetic speaks to the need for beautiful, creative, cultural and inspiring elements that are as purposeful within residential environments as they in commercial markets. We don't want our surfaces to just decorate, but rather be works of art in their own right.

Family, friends, creatives, clients, cousins, play cousins, and everybody who has ever supported a dream of mine. I need your love and your vote.

Stepping out of my comfort zone, I said yes to something bigger than fear and was selected as a finalist for ’s The People’s Artist for a chance to win $25,000. Whew. Even typing that feels surreal.

This moment means so much to me, not just as an artist who discovered her latent talent later in life, but as someone who stepped out on faith and has spent years creating beauty, building community, and telling stories through design, culture, color, and creativity.

Art has never just been what I do. It’s how I love on people. How I celebrate us. How I transform spaces and spirits.

If my work has ever inspired you, decorated your home, touched your heart, made you smile, attend an event, wear a kaftan, or see creativity and culture differently… I would deeply appreciate your vote and your sharing this with others.

It only takes a moment, but your support helps amplify independent artists and creative dreamers like me. Voting is free!

Thank you for always pouring back into me the same love I try to pour into the world. Now let’s bring this home together. ♥️♥️♥️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Today is College Decision Day and I am so proud of my incoming Baby Belle, little sister niece, Raigan Wilson, who made the beautiful decision to attend Bennett College! She already exemplifies the Belle ideals, confidence, leadership, purpose, grace, and a strong sense of self-worth. Bennett’s mission is to prepare women of color to lead with purpose, integrity, and to create change through civic engagement, social justice, and lifelong learning qualities Raigan already carries so naturally.

I met Raigan and her family a couple of weeks ago at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, where my hubby spotted her Bennett College varsity jacket. We had such a wonderful conversation, and from that moment it was clear she was already walking in the spirit of a Belle. Smart, poised, warm, and intentional.
Bennett gained a jewel, and I already know Raigan will shine bright on that campus. Congratulations beautiful, your journey is just beginning! 💙🤍

My Surface Scholars are creating their multi-layered backgrounds using a dry-brush technique. They're learning color comprehension, how to co-mingle metallic paint and plaster with acrylic paint, and the control and patience needed to keep a design clean.

They also learned how drying time affects the surface and how overworking materials can muddy the color. The final step in this process will be adding their stencil and learning the fundamentals of stenciling as they move toward completing their end-of-program project.

Of course pretty girls twirl parasols in pink 💕✨
Custom beauty in progress, layered strokes, soft shimmer, and a little pearl drama catching the light just right.

This one’s not finished yet… but she already knows she’s the moment. 💚🩷🌷🌷

I call this piece, " Resurgence: The Veil Lifted" This collage came from a quiet place, a moment of reflection and release. Each layer felt like lifting something old to reveal something living underneath. On this Good Friday, I'm reminded that resurrection isn't only divine; it's creative. It's what happens every time we turn pain into pattern, silence into color, and memory into movement.

I've been keeping this under wraps, but I can finally say it out loud. I have officially launched Rhythmic Futures - the training arm of Rhythmic Walls and a new creative trades pathway for high school students in grades 9-12.

Starting with Rhythmic Makers: Surface Design & Finishing Intensive, hands-on after-school elective where students meet twice a week for two focused hours of learning, making, and exploring the architectural craft of decorative painting and faux finishing.

Currently, we're piloting the program in one school here in Prince George's County through a beautiful partnership with Rescue1 Youth Club. And let me tell you, watching these young makers step into the studio, pick up tools, and see surfaces differently, is already something special.

This is just the beginning. We're building toward bringing Rhythmic Futures to more schools across the county and throughout the DMV in the near future.

I'm excited. I'm grateful. And I'm proud to finally share what's been growing behind the scenes. The RHYTHM is real and it's officially in motion.
