Southern Granny Weather update

Wellllll… I thought I’d mosey on out to the moldy oldies workbench and get a little shelling done today.

Then Mother Nature said, “Bless your little ol’heart.”

One minute I was feeling productive…
The next minute I was looking out the window yelling,

“Auntie Em! Auntie Em!” 🌪️

Between the sideways rain, the thunder booms, and whatever flew across the backyard a minute ago, I reckon those shells can wait.

Today’s agenda:
✅ Stay dry
✅ Keep both feet on the ground
✅ Avoid becoming the newest resident of Oz

If anybody needs me, I’ll be inside with a cup of coffee, watching the weather and pretending I’m not already thinking about my next shell project. 😂

Fun turtle fact: Sea turtles have been swimming our oceans for over 100 million years. That means they were around when dinosaurs were still stomping around! Meanwhile, I can’t remember why I walked into the kitchen five minutes ago. 🤦‍♀️😂

🚨 Southern Granny Weather Alert 🚨

Well butter my biscuit… the weather has officially chosen violence.

No seashell work today, y’all. The wind is out there acting like it owns the place, and this granny is not about to be chasing oyster shells across three counties.

I’ll be hiding down in the root cellar with a flashlight, a Diet Coke, a snack stash, and enough craft supplies to survive until Christmas.

If anybody needs me, I’ll be busy keeping one eye on the weather radar and the other on my blood pressure.

Y’all stay safe, stay dry, and if you see a flying lawn chair headed toward Florida… it probably belongs to one of my neighbors. 😂🌪️💨

Well… y’all may have created a monster. 🤦‍♀️🤣

I started out this morning with every intention of finishing shells.

Instead, my ADHD brain jumped on Mahjong.

Soon there will be …..
Mahjong ring dishes.
Mahjong dice dishes.
Mahjong ornaments.
Beachy Mahjong.
Chinoiserie Mahjong.
Mahjong and Margaritas.
Mahjong and Sweet Tea.

At this point I’m one craft supply order away from becoming Dauphin Island’s official Mahjong dealer. 🀄️🐚😂

The funny part?

I’ve NEVER played Mahjong.

Not once.

I don’t know the rules.
I don’t know the strategy.
I couldn’t tell you if I’m holding a winning tile or a toaster oven.

But apparently that hasn’t stopped me from designing half a Mahjong collection today. 🤣

So before I disappear completely down another creative rabbit hole…

Who plays Mahjong?
