Ceilings - the fifth wall - are just as important as the other four walls in every room (you'll see more about this in my upcoming August Substack post). In this family room, warm teak tongue-and-groove slats extend seamlessly across the barrel ceiling, creating a continuous linear effect that enhances the home’s contemporary architectural character. We chose a dramatic oversized LED pendant for sculptural interest, complementing the dynamic ceiling.

The dramatic transformation of this home bar not only brightens and updates the space, it also organizes everything, making entertaining easy and keeping surfaces neat. To the right, we added doors to the open space under the staircase, keeping storage out of sight. yet easily accessible.
