Thanks Main Street Monroe, Inc. for highlighting the generosity of our community. I was happy to help!

The fire on the east side of the square was exactly four weeks ago. There’s been much to share, and we want to on the gofundme page Deb Hillary, owner of Busy Bee Floral & Gift, started that same day.

Thanks to the generosity of countless donors like yourself, more than $18,500 was raised and distributed to affected residents earlier this month. Working with the property owners, Deb helped connect with displaced tenants to ensure the funds reached them directly.

Her generosity, swiftness, and willingness to continue with the efforts has had a huge impact for those needing it most! Donations were also accepted directly in store.

Fire Fund Update: We're working on getting all funds transferred to the correct accounts and will be distributing checks sometime next week.

Thank you to EVERYONE who donated! ❤️ You have all been so generous, it's really beautiful. We don't have the entire amount tallied up because money is still being donated daily, but we'll announce that shortly!

So many of us stood watching as several people in our town lost their homes. Afterward, I went home to comfort and safety with all my worldly possessions. They couldn’t.

Please say some prayers for our best buds who own Sunrise Donut Café after their building and business on the square caught on fire today. Their whole family have put their heart and soul into every detail of that historic building. The same goes for Jim and Rhonda at Bartels and everyone else whose buildings and apartments were affected. 🫶

Cookie and I just harvested *one of the most expensive flowers in the world : lily of the valley - right in my own back yard! A bouquet this size averages about $2000 retail. I'm not joking, look it up! We'll have these in the front cooler of the shop this week only! But don't worry, we won't charge $2k.... Or will we???? 😏
