🐾🏺 THE POTTERY HAS A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. 🏺🐾

August 26 is National Dog Day, and apparently the ceramics have decided they have something to say about it.

We asked them:

“What makes dogs so special?”

The pottery thought about it.

Then one very wise little ceramic voice said:

🐶 “They’re loyal.”

Another said:

🐶 “They’re always happy to see you.”

A third said:

🐶 “They will sit with you while you eat.”

We nodded approvingly.

Then the mug in the back yelled:

“THEY ALSO DROP FOOD.”

…And there it is.

The real reason we love dogs. 😂

Dogs don't care if you're having a bad day.
They don't care if your hair looks ridiculous.
They don't care if you've spent three hours talking to a ceramic mug.

They just want to be near you.

And honestly?

That sounds like a pretty good life. 🐾❤️

So today, give your favorite four-legged troublemaker an extra treat, an extra belly rub, and maybe forgive them for whatever they destroyed yesterday.

As for us?

We'll be over here making pottery and pretending we don't hear the dogs asking:

“Is that food?”

“Can I have some?”

“What about now?”

“NOW?”

🥓💀 HAPPY NATIONAL BACON LOVER’S DAY, YOU BEAUTIFUL LITTLE PIGGY FIENDS! 💀🥓

Today, we celebrate one of humanity’s greatest achievements:

BACON.

Crispy bacon. Chewy bacon. Bacon on burgers. Bacon with breakfast. Bacon wrapped around things that absolutely did not need to be wrapped in bacon.

Basically, if it can be improved by bacon, we're legally obligated to try it.

And naturally, we asked the Squonk how he feels about National Bacon Lover’s Day.

He cried.

Then he ate the bacon.

Then he cried while eating the bacon.

Honestly? Relatable. 😂

So if you’re a proud member of the Bacon Is Its Own Food Group club, today is your day. 🥓

🏺 **WE HAVE A PROBLEM.**

We left the pottery alone for five minutes.

Apparently, it learned how to tell jokes.

Since Sunday is **National Tell a Joke Day**, we figured we'd let the pieces have their moment.

**Please don't encourage them.**

Seriously.

They're already very full of themselves.

We asked an Area 51 plate...

👽 **“What do aliens eat for dinner?”**

**Unidentified frying objects.** 🛸🍳

…The plate laughed so hard it nearly flew off the shelf.

We asked a Triple Goddess trinket tray...

🔮 **“What do you call a witch who makes pottery?”**

**A hex-traordinary artist.**

…We have been asked to leave the coven.

We asked one of our skull steins...

💀 **“Why don’t skeletons drink coffee?”**

**“Because they don’t have the guts.”**

…“But I’m a mug.”

“You literally have a handle.”

**“THAT IS NOT THE SAME THING.”**

We’re going to let him cool off. ☕💀

We asked a vase...

🏺 **“Why is it so hard for me to keep a secret?”**

**“Because I always spill the tea.”**

…“You’re a vase.”

“Exactly. I’m a vessel.”

“…That’s not how that phrase works.”

**“I said what I said.”** 🌸

At this point, we're considering putting the pottery back in the kiln until they learn some humility.

Maybe that's not a coincidence.

Maybe happiness happens when we slow down.

When we laugh with friends around a campfire.
When we spot a shooting star.
When we tell ghost stories that get just a little too believable.
When we wonder if that sound in the woods was the wind... or something else. 👣

Maybe happiness happens over coffee in your favorite handmade mug.
Or dessert on your favorite handmade plate.
Or sharing a meal with the people you love.

At R.I.Pieces, we believe the little moments become the big memories.
