February is widely recognized as Black History Month. To me, every month is Black History Month, rich with the contributions of black inventors, doctors, artists, and politicians who have fundamentally shaped American society through groundbreaking innovations, medical breakthroughs, civil rights leadership, and cultural influence. Excellence abounds from all ethnicities, and I am grateful for the profound gifts that have arisen from brilliant men and women of all races, nationalities, and ethnicities. We are so much better together. However, it is February, so while I recognize greatness all year long, far be it from me to pass up an opportunity to share some architectural brilliance. These are a few of the many great minds that helped motivate and shape my career.

Karen Drylie, a phenomenal Monrovia photographer, took this photo. The way she was able to capture the devastation caused by the January wild fires is truly lovely. . The beauty lies in the way Karen also captured the new growth....the hope for new beginnings, new adventures, new memories & holiday gatherings. We had an exceptional time at the 10th Annual Taste of Old Town Monrovia! Sips and bites from over 50 eateries, bakeries, wineries, creameries and distilleries! I can't put my finger on which one was my favorite, but they were all finger-lickin'-good! MHA was proud to sponsor the ice sculpture. We weren't thrilled about it at first, but we learned to laugh about it. We were rolling our R's all night. Monrovia sounds sexier with two R's! We just might offer to sponsor the ice sculpture again, but next time we will find the sculptor and vet them ourselves! We might already be looking! Thank you to the Monrovia Kiwanis Club for hosting this epic event. Welcome back! Thank you for letting us be a part of it! And you never disappoint!!
