Great way to energize my week, starting with a group class of local homeschoolers! Celebrating history and talked about the USA’s 250th birthday coming on July 4th. We learned about math, each student drawing the design on their boards, and PE with strong arms waving to help dry the paints. And ended with music as we sang Yankee Doodle Dandy.

This summer & fall, starting mid-June, I will have an Open Studio in Monson, Maine for barn quilt painting. You can stop by any day and work on your quilts. Come by yourself, or bring some friends. Take one day or more to complete. I’ll be there to assist you and probably be working on my own designs too. Unless the garden calls, fresh veggies get priority. lol. More details to follow.

Advice please: should I paint the white areas black? Maybe just the center & four corners? Touch ups then onto the next painting!

We LOVE our trees here in the Maine Highlands region. And we’re getting an early start on holiday decorating. This homeschooling program is so fun to teach and our young students are so creative! I enjoy every single moment! Super job by the children & moms! We used our rulers to help get them centered and draw the triangles. Math can be fun!
