Now this is outdoor living. 🏔️

When your home is surrounded by views like these, you want to spend as much time outside as possible... but that doesn’t mean you want to sit in direct sun all afternoon. ☀️

A retractable awning gives this mountain deck shade when it’s wanted without permanently covering the outdoor space.

Extend it for a more comfortable place to relax, eat, entertain, or enjoy the view.
Retract it when you want the sunshine and open sky back.

And we love how this one complements the cabin instead of competing with it. The green feels right at home against the wood exterior and surrounding trees. 🌲

Your window treatments don't have to stop at the windows.

Okay… this one is pretty satisfying to watch. 😍

With the touch of a button, the room goes from cozy and covered to open, bright, and connected to the outdoors.

And we especially love what’s happening here because it shows how beautifully motorized roller shades and custom drapery can work together.

You get the softness and finished look of drapery, the clean functionality of a roller shade, and motorization that makes adjusting everything incredibly easy.

Beautiful when they’re closed.
Beautiful when they’re open.
And no walking from window to window required. 🙌

One window is easy.

But what happens when one room has several windows in completely different sizes? 👀

That’s where a coordinated custom look really shines.

For this space, the window treatments create consistency across the room even though the windows themselves are different sizes. The matching fabric and coordinated top treatments help everything feel intentional rather than like each window was handled separately.

And the soft, light-filtering material lets natural light into the room while giving the windows a more finished look.

Custom doesn’t mean every window has to be the same size.

It means every window can be designed to feel like it belongs in the same room. 🤍

Sometimes the best “after” photo comes with a little cameo in the background. 👀

Freshly installed blinds + the Budget Blinds van still parked outside = job well done. ✔️

There’s a reason traditional blinds are still a go-to. They’re clean, versatile, easy to adjust, and give you simple control over both light and privacy.

Nothing complicated. Just a classic window treatment, custom fit and professionally installed.

And then we're on to the next set of windows! 🚐

Coffee in hand. Shades up. Morning light coming in. ☕☀️

Sounds like a pretty good way to celebrate International Coffee Day to us.

One of our favorite things about the right window treatments is being able to decide exactly how you want to start the day... let the sunshine in, enjoy the view, or keep things cozy for just a little bit longer.

So today we're keeping it simple:
☕ Grab your favorite cup.
🪟 Open the shades.
🏔️ Enjoy the view.

Happy International Coffee Day from Budget Blinds!

Now the important question… how do you take your coffee? 👇

When you've got this many windows in one space, the window treatments become a pretty big part of the room. 😍

For this recent project, custom roller shades created a consistent look across an entire wall of windows while still allowing natural light and the outdoor view to remain part of the space.

That's one of the benefits of going custom... each treatment is made for its individual window, while the entire room can still feel cohesive and intentional.

And with multiple windows side by side, consistency in fit, height, fabric, and finish makes all the difference.

The result is clean, streamlined, and functional without competing with the architecture or the view.

Now you see it… now you've got shade. 😎☀️

A retractable awning lets you enjoy your outdoor space with shade when you want it... and an open view when you don't.

For patios, decks, balconies, and other outdoor living areas, it's a simple way to make the space more comfortable and usable without permanently covering it.

Extend it when the sun is beating down. Retract it when you want the sky overhead.

Outdoor living, on your terms.

Curious whether an awning could work for your outdoor space?

It's usually the big windows that get all the attention… but sometimes the smaller ones make just as much of a difference. 👀

These custom shutters were installed on the narrow windows beside this front door, creating a clean, finished look while giving the homeowners more control over privacy and light right at the entryway.

And because they're custom, they're made to fit the window... even when the size or placement isn't exactly standard.

It's a great reminder that there really isn't a “one-size-fits-all” window in your home.

Have a small, narrow, or unusual window you've never quite known what to do with? We can help.

🍂 There's nothing like golden hour hitting a room just right as the seasons change.

Custom shutters let you adjust the light as the days get shorter, while drapery adds warmth for a beautifully layered, cozy look.

You see a window.

We see about 20 questions. 😂

How much sunlight does it get?
Do you need privacy?
Do you want to preserve the view?
Is glare an issue?
How often will you open and close it?
What's happening in the rest of the room?
Would motorization make sense?
And, of course… what do you want it to look like?

That's why choosing window treatments isn't just about picking something that looks good in a sample book.

The right solution should work for the window, the room, and the people living in it.

That's also why we offer in-home consultations so you can see your options in your actual space and get help finding the combination of style and function that makes sense for your home.

When you hear Budget Blinds, blinds might be the first thing that comes to mind.

But they're only the beginning. 👀

Your windows can be customized with:

✨ Shades in countless styles, fabrics and textures
🏡 Custom shutters
🪟 Blinds in a variety of materials and finishes
🤍 Custom drapery and soft treatments
📱 Motorized options for added convenience

And you don't have to know exactly what you want before getting started.

That's part of what we're here for.

We'll help you look at the window, how you use the room, your style, your privacy and light-control needs, and then narrow down the options that actually make sense for your home.

Because choosing window treatments should be about more than picking something from a catalog.
