I wanted to get back to my fiber art and hadn’t crocheted in quite some time. I had never tried a amigurumi pattern before so I decided to make this Santa figure. I have the kit for Mrs. Claus too and will make her soon. I think he turned out cute. I learned quite a bit while re-whetting my skills. I thought he looked bald and added hair to him. It's off the loom! I just have some knots to tie and fringe to trim! Yay!!! Omg my back. Ooof I did not meet my time goal at all on finishing this either. It took me around 9 hours today maybe closer to 10 to finish to this point. 💜

After a major mistake on the warp length, I've re dressed the loom in a fresh longer warp and began all over again. I plan to finish this tomorrow as the weaving itself goes pretty quickly. I did 8 inches in 1.5 hours tonight. Tomorrow after I get into a rhythm, it will probably get closer to 10 an hour, which puts me at about 5 more hours for this. 30 minutes to hem stitch the second edge. Then tie knots and launder and press. It's going to be done and shipped before the end of the week for sure. 💜

Handmade angora infinity scarf. I spun this yarn from angora fiber I collected from my own rabbits. I dyed it purple and plied it with commercially spun wool yarn in a darker purple shade. The result is a very soft scarf with beautiful handmade variations. This could be worn just like this or also twisted and pinned with a brooch higher up on the neck.
