Happy 14th birthday to the kid who somehow got a job at Sweetbay without ever actually applying. 😂

He’s been recruited for social media, put to work painting, volunteered as Mom’s personal assistant (whether he likes it or not), and apparently added soccer referee to his résumé for good measure. ⚽️

He’s also the reason there’s never a dull moment around here… and occasionally the reason Mom needs a little patience. 😉😂

But underneath all the teenage eye rolls and “do I have to?” moments is one pretty awesome kid we’re incredibly proud of.

Happy birthday, Emmett! 14 looks good on you. ❤️🎂

Who says a Flippin Friday has to involve furniture? 😉

This week, we decided to flip the flip! We took a few tired salvage pieces—a couple of trays and a Lazy Susan—and gave them a whole new look with paint and wallpaper accents.

Because sometimes the best DIY home decor projects are hiding in the pieces you almost walked right past. A little paint, a little creativity, and suddenly… completely different!

If you love furniture flipping, upcycling, painted furniture, and unique home decor, you know we’re always looking for something that deserves a second chance. ❤️

Learn calligraphy + create your own fall pumpkin!

Have you ever wanted to learn calligraphy but didn’t know where to start? This class is designed for beginners! You’ll learn the basics of calligraphy, practice your new skills, and then put them to work creating your own beautifully lettered pumpkin.

No experience necessary—just come ready to learn, create, and have a little fall fun!

• Friday, October 9 | 6–8 PM

Not every piece of vintage furniture needs to be passed by. Sometimes it just needs a second chance.

This 1960s/70s Bassett dresser had great bones, beautiful details, and one little challenge… a laminate top.

With the right prep (hello, Ultra Grip!), paint, a little finishing magic, and some new hardware, this dated dresser got a whole new look.

And while the original mirror still works beautifully with it, I have to admit… I LOVE the way it looks styled without it.

Which would you choose — with the mirror or without?
