Just returned from Gathering of Woodcarvers up by Joliet Illinois. Fun trip and a lot of fall showing on the trees.

Speaking with a friend about next years Indiana Roundup at Martha’s Vineyard we mulled over how would we be able to attract good instructor talent and came to the conclusion that we could if
1. We got it out early enough for publication in mags and internet
2. We had some space for camping. We do😊
3. We need early registration because the instructors need to prepare at least a month in advance.
4. Instructors need 5 to 6 minimum people per 3 day class to make their time and effort worthwhile at 200-300 per student.

Names that are being talked about are Dylon Goodson,Vic Hood,Chris Hammock, and other CCA members. Maybe a fish carver.

I really don’t know how many carvers this reaches but if I could I would like some feed back discussion. Just let me know who you would like to see and if you want to stay at a hotel or camp.

My time at the State Fair was pretty productive since I had 3000,4000 kids helping me bang those chisels (and hands) until this guy appeared. Love those yungun’s

We will be setup and selling tools It’s $10 a day or $20 for 3 days. Insturctor. Of all king will be there. Come by a say hi and see if there is something you wood like to carve. Wood burning also😎
