Meet The Darkening Hours, our limited-edition autumn collection. No predictable pumpkin spice or traditional fall fragrances here. Just three original blends inspired by the darker, moodier side of the season.

🌲 Smoldering Hollow · No. 101
Earthy moss, deep woods, and the lingering warmth of smoke. Like stepping out into the cool night air near the last embers of a fire.

🥃 Black Sugar · No. 102
Brown sugar, fig, and vanilla wrapped in smoky woods. Rich, warm, and a little indulgent. Think a cozy, dimly lit speakeasy and an old fashioned in hand.

🫐 Wild Nightshade · No. 103
Dark currant, delicate violet, and smoky oud. Juicy, velvety, and a little mysterious. A fragrance unlike your typical autumn favorites.

Each fragrance was developed and tested in small batches, with every candle finished by hand and our signature emblem branded onto the wooden lids.

A little mysterious. A little wild.

Meet Wild Nightshade · No. 103.

Dark currant. Soft violet. Smoky oud.

Wild Nightshade is where dark, juicy fruit meets delicate florals and deep, smoky woods. It's rich, intriguing, and just a little unexpected.

Think less traditional floral candle, more an evening wrapped in velvet, with a little mystery in the air.

I created this blend for those who love fragrances that don't fit neatly into one category. Not quite fruity. Not quite floral. Not quite woody. A little of everything, beautifully intertwined.

Brown sugar and vanilla meet smoky woods for a fragrance that's warm, rich, and anything but ordinary.

Think less sugar cookie, more dark and indulgent. Sweetness with an edge.

Somewhere between the forest floor and the last embers of a fire.

Meet Smoldering Hollow · No. 101.

Earthy moss. Deep woods. A lingering trace of smoke.

Smoldering Hollow is for those who love the atmosphere of autumn but aren't necessarily drawn to traditional fall fragrances. It's earthy, mysterious, and just a little haunting.

At the market on Saturday, a woman smelled it, turned to her friends, and said, "This is just what it smelled like when we got out of the truck the other night!"

I loved hearing that. There's something special about creating a fragrance that immediately brings someone back to a place or moment they've experienced.

This one was also my most challenging candle to develop. It took five different fragrance blends and seven wick tests before I was satisfied with how it burned. Every blend behaves differently, and getting it right is part of the process.

🍁 Today's the day!

We're at Detroit Mountain from 9 AM – 2 PM today!

Come enjoy the fall colors, free chairlift rides, and a little fragrance shopping. We'll have all six Signature Collection fragrances plus our limited-edition The Darkening Hours collection.

It's a beautiful excuse to get outside and enjoy a fall Saturday.

A little windblown, but a whole lot excited! 🍂

Today I dropped off Meadow & Ember's very first wholesale order at Eco Chic Home in Fargo!

You can now find two fragrances from our Signature Collection — Prairie Dawn No. 02 and Cedar Veil No. 04 — available in both Regular and Mini sizes at Eco Chic Home!

It's a pretty exciting milestone for this little fragrance house, and I'm so grateful to have Meadow & Ember on the shelves of such a beautiful local shop.

And yes, the Fargo wind made sure my hair was looking its finest for the occasion. 😂

The light is fading. The Darkening Hours have arrived. 🌒

Our first limited edition collection is officially available online.

Inspired by the strange, beautiful edge of spooky season, The Darkening Hours is a little darker than the prairie usually gets around here—moody woods, smoky embers, dark fruit, violet, and just enough sweetness.

Three fragrances. One very limited pour.

Smoldering Hollow — No. 101
Smoke drifts through damp woods as the last embers burn low. Earthy, atmospheric, and quietly haunting.

Black Sugar — No. 102
Dark fig and brown sugar meet smoked woods and warm vanilla. Rich, smoky, and definitely not your typical sweet candle.

Wild Nightshade — No. 103
Black currant, violet, saffron, moss, and smoked oud. Darkly floral, mysterious, and a little wild.

Each is hand-poured in Minnesota in our deep Electric Violet vessels with coconut-apricot wax and crackling wood wicks.

And when they're gone, The Darkening Hours disappear with them.

A pretty exciting night in the Meadow & Ember studio. 🖤

The jars are wicked, the wax is hot, and I’m getting ready to pour our very first wholesale order!

Two Signature Collection fragrances will soon be available at a store near you—at least if you’re in the Fargo area. 👀 Any guesses which two made the cut?

And while I’m pouring… The Darkening Hours is right on schedule for its online release this Friday. Three moody, limited-edition fragrances just in time for October.
