Thank you for all the kind words and support. It's hard to going through all the things when closing the door. But it was time. On a positive note: with all the blankets we had left-they go to a kind foster mama with Ruff Start Rescue to use as needed, the Scandinavian items have been relocating to Mom & Me Candy Shop&Boutique LLC, sewing notions and sewing machine repair relocated to Granite Ridge Quilts, the consignor that had the sterling silver jewelry has also relocated to Mom & Me Candy Shop&Boutique LLC some of the fine crystal will be going to an assisted living home so the residents may have the use as is needed. Andy bought People Powered Sports so it will stay in the community and DC Design Works LLC bought the inking equipment so that will also stay in the community. Can't forget the books: Milaca Libray, City of Quamba book box, and the local book box. And of course 4H received some nice display units.

We have been placing stuff outside for free. Instead of taking it people are destroying it. Bummer - won't be anymore.

The big countdown is on for retirement. With over 200 consigners at my store you don't just get things back overnight. Next week will be super crazy-emotions & items. The last day the doors are open to the public is July 12, 2025. We officially opened the doors Feb 5, 2009 starting with 12 consigners. Would you believe we still have a couple of them still selling with us? WOW. And the people coming from far and wide to wish us well as they hear the news and tell us how they will miss us so much. We will miss them too. It's been great - watching kids grow, graduations, weddings, former staff visiting - their kids and wedding, people from around the world have stopped in. And to think when we started my husband rolled his eyes and just said "yes dear" - what a great guy.
