Old knife from Vietnam war from my grandpaw. The leather handle was completely desolved. I took a belt that the buckle broke on and cut it up. Then cut slots in the middle and put the on. The end stop was a k**b that broke when I was grinding it down. I compromised and used the brass insert in the k**b. Then I grinned it down to how I wanted and painted on clear polyurethane. Then I decided to paint black stripes and another coat of polyurethane.
