In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Thomas was a booming railroad and coal community filled with workers from around the world.

When the coal industry declined, the town nearly faded away.

But today, Thomas has reinvented itself as a destination for artists, musicians, outdoor adventurers, and travelers exploring the mountains of West Virginia.

It's a reminder that some of the best stories aren't about where a town started...
