🎉 Today we’re celebrating 22 years of Plumberry Designs, Inc.! 🎉
Happy 22nd Birthday, Plumberry! 💜
What a year it’s been! While there have been many changes, one thing remains constant—the same incredible team and the same passion for creative, thoughtful design.
2025 was truly a roller coaster of emotions as we said goodbye to our beloved Florham Park showroom after 21 amazing years. The building sold in the spring, and we officially moved out in early July to a satellite office in Chester. Downsizing is definitely not my forte, and saying goodbye to Florham Park was extremely heartbreaking. That space was where countless kitchen and bath dreams came to life—and where so many wonderful clients became cherished friends. Even more special, we now have the privilege of designing for the next generation as we work with our clients’ grown children. What a gift. 💫
My mother always says, “What’s meant to be, will be.” (And yes… mothers are always right!?😅) Shortly after our move, I became the proud recipient of a successful knee replacement. Recovery went beautifully, and I was back on my feet in no time. Huge thanks to HSS and my husband Wayne for taking such great care of me! 🦵✨The timing was perfect!
Then came October—and a visit to a colleague at Willow Hall in Morristown that I thought was a simple business meeting. Surprise! It turned into an open-house tour of available office space. I wasn’t ready to commit… until I noticed the building’s purple stone façade—aka puddingstone. That was it. A sign! A perfect purple home for Plumberry. 💜 It was “meant to be!”
As of November, we are thrilled to have a new design studio inside Willow Hall, a stunning historic mansion built in 1848 in Morristown’s Historic Speedwell area. Even better, we convinced Curren Design Associates to join us here too! Come visit soon!
Recovery time also gave me space to reflect—on Plumberry’s longevity and on navigating today’s challenging economy. Despite uncertainty, tariffs, and rising costs, we are moving forward with confidence and commitment. We continue to offer a wide range of cabinetry—from competitive Big Box options to semi-custom and full custom—allowing us to deliver the best possible product at the best possible value.
The Plumberry Philosophy, established in 2004, is still alive and thriving: imaginative, functional design paired with personal attention and service—no matter the budget!
None of this happens alone. I am endlessly grateful for our amazing team past and present, our trusted partners, vendors, and reps, and the many talented professionals we collaborate with. Robin, Erin, Carole, Gene, Costas, Christy, Lama, Rob, Thomas, Lynette, Maureen, Ben and Joe! Karl – Karl Mattson Photography; Michael – Curren Design Associates; Rich – Renovation Specialties, Tommy – The Thomas Group and our newest members Austin and Heather - AUSTIN FANNING GENERAL CONTRACTORS LLC. An extremely super special thanks to “the Isaak!” who I have been fortunate to work with for over 26 years and maintains an inspector and code questioning hotline for me; my right and left hand - Bonnie, who was 17 years late in arriving; and my bathroom guru and ultimate researcher Elaine, now retired and a grandmother!...miss you! 💜 My family support continues to be unwavering from all branches of my family tree - your support means everything! 💕
Most of all, thank you to my husband Wayne. Your love, patience, and encouragement keep me going every day. I promise—your kitchen is coming soon. 😉
Thank you to everyone who has been part of Plumberry’s journey over the past 22 years. Here’s to what’s next!!! 🥂✨
