Here’s an experiment in my sketchbook where I draw mountains with interesting cloud formations in black marker, then added colored pencil. There are things I like and don’t like about how it turned out, so I will use that feedback to decide how to color future works. Bonus points for Sammy being adorable again!

For my painting class we did a Notan Study to prep for this still life project. That means you make a black and white drawing to plan where the most prominent values should be placed. I added the color to mine later just for fun. I think it helped make my painting a lot better. I just sold my egg painting at the farmers market for $150! I’m super excited about it and proud of my work. 🙂
