Just a regular Wednesday morning around our kitchen table. 🏡📚❤️
One of the things I love most about homeschooling is that learning gets to be woven right into our everyday life.
It doesn’t always look pretty. Some days everyone is focused and we knock it out. Some days somebody can’t find a pencil even though I KNOW we own approximately 4,732 of them. 😂 Some days we fly through a lesson…and other days we spend 45 minutes trying to understand something that “should” have taken 10.
But THIS is why we homeschool.
Not because I think I can recreate a classroom better at my kitchen table.
But because I don’t have to. ❤️
We can slow down when something is hard. We can keep going when something sparks their interest. We can take a random Tuesday off and learn on a Saturday. We can read together, cook together, garden, preserve food, travel, talk about God, ask a million questions and let life itself become part of their education.
We’ve been homeschooling since 2019, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that homeschool doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.
It just has to work for YOUR family.
And around here, sometimes it looks exactly like this. 🥰
A kid at the kitchen table, a book cracked open, a lesson playing on the computer…and Mama nearby probably reheating her coffee for the third time. 😂☕️
