Tip: Because this is a 1-pound batch, I’d recommend weighing the ingredients rather than measuring by tablespoons. The chili powders, salt, and ground spices can vary considerably in density, so a kitchen scale will give you a much more consistent “Mala’s” blend every time.
This is a true dry-rub lamb chop seasoning.
🐑 Mala’s National-Style Lamb Chop Seasoning
Copycat Dry Rub — 1 lb Batch
Method for Lamb Chops :
1. Place the lamb chops on a tray or large platter.
2. Generously dust both sides of each lamb chop with Mala’s National-Style Seasoning.
3. Press the seasoning firmly into both sides of the chops so the rub adheres well and creates a flavorful crust.
4. Make sure the edges are lightly coated as well.
5. Cover and refrigerate for 2–3 hours to allow the seasoning to pe*****te and flavor the lamb.
6. Remove the lamb chops from the refrigerator about 20–30 minutes before grilling.
7. Grill over high heat until beautifully browned and cooked to your preferred doneness.
👉🏼Mala’s Tip: Don’t be shy with the seasoning. Lamb can handle a generous coating, and you want that gorgeous, deeply seasoned crust after grilling.
