Tonight felt like pure Mount Holly magic.

The Arts Mount Holly Festival Preview Night was alive with energy — Cain playing Fleetwood Mac in the background, the street glowing, and my first public popup of my creative collection since the pre‑covid years. It felt so good to be back out there, meeting people, sharing stories, and watching folks fall in love with my pieces enough to take a few home. My heart is full.

And it was even sweeter having Tricia and Miss Ellie Grace — my golden doodle and the unofficial queen of Main Street — out celebrating with me. Ellie soaked up every bit of attention like the star she is.

This birthday weekend is already off to the most beautiful start.

It’s one of those weekends in Downtown Mount Holly, the kind where the whole town feels like it’s humming with magic. And listen… I’m not saying the entire Arts Mount Holly Festival was planned for my 60th birthday… but the timing is suspiciously perfect.

Either way, I’m claiming it.

Friday night kicks things off with Preview Night on West Central Ave from 6–9 PM — art, music, the Friday Night Concert Series just around the corner on South Main, and our friends at Arts on the Greenway hosting the beer tent right between The Vintage Nest and Wells Fargo. A whole vibe.

Then Saturday… oh Saturday.
June 6th.
Art Crawl 10–3. My birthday. The big 6‑0.
And I want to celebrate with my Nest friends.

I’ve even packaged 60 little gifts with purchase, my own birthday party favors, ready for the first 60 customers who stop by the shop. Plus birthday cake, because of course there’s cake.

Our very first shipment of Christmas has officially arrived at The Vintage Nest — and tucked right inside the sparkle and crinkle paper was something I absolutely had to show you.

No, no — this one is a tabletop bust, perfectly poised, perfectly festive, and absolutely convinced she is the star of the holiday season.

The moment I lifted her from the box, she gave that look the one that says, “Please place me somewhere with good lighting. I have a presence to uphold.” And honestly? She wasn’t wrong.
She’s elegant. She’s whimsical. She’s giving “Victorian Christmas postcard meets small‑town charm.”

This morning started with the loveliest sight a planter overflowing with beautiful blooms waiting for me at the end of the porch. Tricia planted them, and goodness… she just has a way with plants.

It stopped me in my tracks and brought the biggest smile.
