School is back, which means tiny adventurers have returned to the roads.
They’re carrying backpacks with a -3 movement penalty, they may not have had enough sleep, and their Perception checks before 8 AM are… questionable.
Thankfully, our friend Mount Joy Minnie has arrived with some very important quest information about school bus and student safety!
So give Minnie’s post a read, and remember:
🚌 See the flashing lights? SLOW DOWN.
🛑 See the stop arm? STOP.
🎒 See a kid near the road? Assume they may suddenly dash, wander, or fail a Wisdom saving throw.
Drive carefully. Watch for kids. Stop for buses. Safety is the real Nat 20.
🎒 Donegal School District starts school tomorrow (Monday, August 31), and Mount Joy Minnie has an important reminder: Watch for students!
As you’re sharing the road with school buses, remember these Pennsylvania laws:
🚌 Flashing yellow lights? Slow down and be prepared to stop.
🚌 Flashing red lights and stop arm extended? STOP at least 10 feet from the bus.
🚌 Stay stopped until the red lights stop flashing, the stop arm is withdrawn, and all children have reached a place of safety.
And don't forget to watch for students walking - especially before and after school.
Let’s all do our part to help make the first day — and the entire school year — a safe one! 📚✏️
