CASE NO. 1031
INCIDENT: A MURDER IN SCENTVILLE

Welcome, Detectives. You've been officially assigned to this case. Police were alerted at 8:03 am on Sunday, November 1 of a murder in Scentville. They were called to the scene of Welcome Home Apartments, where the body of Mr. Frank N. Stein was discovered in the cleaning closet. It appears the crime happened the evening before at their annual Halloween party.

We've interview 7 suspects. Your job is to read the reports, examine the evidence and solve this mystery. Who did it? What was the motive? Whose alibi checks out and whose doesn't?

CONTENTS: the evidence left behind at the scene and various other samples and extras collected during interviews.

Our littlest has come down with a stomach bug. It started on our 900 mile trip from the beach 😅 and has continued right on into our arrival home.

Oh, cake stands. They seriously solve so many decorating problems.

Swipe to see the before pic. That baby needs some height! When you’re doing table and counter decorating, remember to do a few things:

✔️ Mix different textures- this has a mix of mosaic pieces, mercury glass, natural wood, metal, terracotta and the various textures from the plants.

✔️ various heights! Cake stands and little risers from are my fave for this!

✔️ different shapes! Break it up with oval/square/rectangle/big and wide/small cylinders.

✔️ when all else fails, toss in some plants. Seriously, they elevate any set up!

✔️ don’t push everything to the back! A good friend told me years ago -quit pushing things backwards! Let those babies shine and pull things forward, or have them float.

✔️ add things in pairs or in threes. The and on the riser could be it’s on little set up. The 2 pumpkins and cake stand could also be their own thang. Put them all together 🪄

✔️ let the natural beauty shine! Usually I would try to add something like beaded garland on that cake stand but that would be taking away from the aesthetics of that pumpkin warmer! That reflection on the stand adds another dimension to it all!

What tricks do you use while decorating? Any rules you try to follow or are you more of a “move it around until it looks cute” person?
