When this bride asked me about doing a guest book quilt for her wedding, I think my heart did a pitter patter. Then we had the idea to sew together the cloth napkins used at the wedding for the back of the quilt, which makes it even more sweet. And peep that orange and blue sky!!! 😍

Hi! Still feeling super grateful over here! 🫶🏼

I will be moving to an “interest form” on Google forms. Here you can tell me what size you would be wanting, what your style is, etc. Deposit and pricing information will be on this form.

There is no need to start going through your clothes and special items after submitting this form. I will reach out as openings become available. Because I take on a limited number of quilts, unfortunately I may not be able to accommodate every request.

This is a waitlist of sorts. And I will keep my fingers crossed that the stars will align and I can create a quilt for each and every one of you at some point - but the reality is they are extremely time intensive. It’s part of what makes them so special!

Moving to a waitlist instead of dropping additional deposit slots on Etsy seemed to be a little slower and intentional way of doing things - instead of a rush situation. Which is what we’re all about here! 💫

Thank you for being understanding as I learn as this little business of mine grows! From your messages and your comments, I feel like I can tell already that this is becoming a really special place on the internet. 🤍

Waitlist form can be found at a link in my bio 🫶🏼

What a wonderful past 24 hours it has been over here in my little corner of the sewing world! ✨

But full transparency - I am a mom of three who sews upstairs at her sewing table while her kids nap, play behind me or do their homework next to me. But the fact that so many of us share the human experience of wanting to preserve special life memories into something like a quilted heirloom, means the absolute world to me. Thank you for all of the kind words and for connecting with my art and my style.

I am, in real time, trying to figure out how to preserve the slow nature of quilting while also honoring that there is an opportunity to put more quilts out in the world and gift others a piece of art that would otherwise stay in a box in the attic. I am in the process of learning that quilting is meant to be slow, intentional, and rooted in presence, AND also that there are more stories waiting to be stitched together than I can personally make overnight.

So for now, I will be growing gently. I hope to stay rooted in the “why” that I started—while also making space for this beautiful, wonderful increase in demand. Because at the end of the day, I don’t want to rush and just make quilts - I want to create heirlooms for families to enjoy for years and years to come.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for being here. More updates to come soon, I promise. 🫶🏼🤍 - Rachael

This is the second year in a row we got to spend a week at Mimi and Papa’s house near Paducah while Parker Rose attended Quilt Camp at National Quilt Museum. What a gift this week is to get so creatively inspired, make new quilty friends (Muppin’s Sewing Emporium | Paducah KY’s Most Unique Quilt Shop even let me work on my quilt at her shop!), pick up a new technique (looking at you Paper Pieces: English Paper Piecing Precut Papers!) and spend lots of time with our favorite people who planted this seed and cheer us on as it grows for myself, and my girl. 🤍
