Took a walk thru the Vendors Market after we restocked Saturday, looking for some very specific things to add to one of my favorite pieces in my kitchen ~ and as always if you make it to the end you will get to see what I purchased today & a glimpse into a part of my kitchen. Anyone else fascinated by antique sewing machines? The engineering and thought that went into these or to mention the incredible scroll painting!! This is a 1900-1920 Singer drawing room or parlor cabinet machine. The beautiful likely walnut cabinet was designed to conceal the workhorse of a machine underneath. This beauty will be hitting the booth after a bit of cleaning- it has many of the original attachments and implements in the cabinet drawers. This one is in excellent condition but will need a new leather belt to make it fully functional.
