Someone nearby has this vintage sunbeam mixer for sale. I got rid of my yellow one before we moved. This would match my kitchen perfectly 👀. Note how can I sneak it in unnoticed since I recently bought a vintage KitchenAid 😩

Getting the house done one fixture at a time 😂 it was raining too hard to paint the boards so someone will be rolling the ceiling overhead soon.

I know it has been crickets on here. We are remodeling our house and a bus then my “carpenter” also decided a full time job was a good idea. So I haven’t been posting much BUT here is the progress on the kitchen so far. There is still a lot to do (second coat of paint, kick plates, flooring etc) but it’s useable now and I love it! The last photo is from when we bought the place last year.

Since this page will be shifting gears to a home and bus remodel and maybe some Chambers vintage stove content, I figured I should post the early starting point of the house. I will try to get a little more consistent posting updates this year. I plan on throwing in some more furniture as well once I get caught up on some work with the house and the bus. I sure miss painting but this break has been much needed.

Do any of you use Gemini instead of chat gpt to see how something would look before you commit to it? The first and last photos are mine. The others are AI. It makes it so much easier to visualize. Sometimes I get too many great options. Gemini has unlimited free photo edits, which also seem to come out better than chat gpt. PS my furniture artist friends, it’s also a great tool for planning finishes and staging furniture. It would have saved me SO much time 🫣

Update on where we are on the kitchen…still a little ways to go but we are getting there! We have actually hung a few more cabinets but I haven’t gotten a video just yet.

I’m still here! Focus has shifted to remodeling our house and because that’s not enough, remodeling a transit bus for our guest suite🤣🫣. I know it’s not furniture refinishing at the moment but I hope you all decide to follow along anyway 😉. I will try to post a little more regularly about the remodeling and our other adventures in Hawaii.

I just realized I never officially announced our move! We bought an off grid place on the big island (Hawaii) and will be headed there in June. I hope to post a bit of our adventures as well as get back to furniture at some point. I know shipping is limited there so I will focus on local work with more of an island vibe 😉. Thank you all for following me on all my crazy adventures over the years.
