Turns out finishing one project just reveals the next one.

My entryway used to be the drop zone for coats, shoes, bags, you name it. But once the mudroom lockers were complete, everything migrated, and the entryway looked... pathetic.

A couple of hours and two pieces of scrap wood later and the entryway has a whole new personality.

If you're staring at a space in your home, wondering what it needs (or what it could be), I'd love to help. Taking on design clients now! Link in bio or DM me.

New art day is a good day.

This piece has been on my radar for months—it actually helped determine the cabinet pulls and, more importantly, the controversial bench fabric. The way the pinks and blues repeat between the fabric and the painting? I can't get enough of it. And that contrast against the dark walls? Chef's kiss 😘

Last piece of this mudroom puzzle: a badass console table to go underneath (and then I can finally give this IKEA table back to my kids 🤣). Coming soon.

What if your local game store actually felt like a fantasy world?

The D20 Dungeon taught me something important: people don’t just want places—they want experiences. That idea is guiding the next phase as we transform our former real estate office conference room and lobby into retail space for the D20 Dungeon.

The conference room is becoming The Blacksmith’s Workshop.
The lobby is becoming The Apothecary.

Same building.
A very different kind of energy.

This is technically a reveal. Just… with a twist.

As part of our real estate office renovation, I finished these rooms a couple of years ago—and never shared the final reveal.
Life, other projects, shiny new distractions… you know the drill.

So this post is finally their moment.
And also their farewell.

It’s about letting go of a design you loved to make room for what’s next.
And trust me—what’s next is worth it.

Full reveal + the plot twist at the link in comments. 👀✨

At the beginning of 2025 I shared my project wishlist for the year. Here's how it actually went:

Kitchen Nook: Turned an empty awkward corner into functional storage and counterspace. Turns out extra cabinets are never a bad idea 🤷‍♀️

Mudroom: My entire spring, summer, and fall in one project. Currently 90% done, which in renovation terms means it'll still be a hot minute.

Tween Bedroom: Started late 2024, finished early 2025. It was clean and styled for exactly one photo shoot 🤦‍♀️

Entryway refresh: Wasn't on the original list but totally worth the detour.

2026 projects are already taking shape - including a major expansion, and a full gut job I can't wait to share.

Need help tackling your own project list? I'm taking on design clients for 2025. DM me to get started!

Spent weeks choosing the perfect paint color for this mudroom.

My husband installed contractor-white light switches.
In a dark red room.

They're Lutron. They're expensive. They're staying. Is this how villain origin stories start?

Six years of dreaming. Three months of building. One mudroom that finally functions like a mudroom.

This project pushed every limit - custom cabinets, hand-built bench, that fabric decision that kept me up at night (tigers won, obviously). The goal? Transform an underutilized wall into a highly functional space that doesn't make us cringe every time we walk through it. Mission accomplished.

Some highlights:
🐅 Blue tiger fabric that makes the whole room
🪝 Brass hooks that look suspiciously like claws
🎨 Dark Auburn walls that could've been a disaster but turned into the moment
✨ Custom wavy pull that a friend made from scrap wood

This is what happens when you stop compromising on design and commit to the vision.

Want to see the full transformation? Link in comments.

And if you're ready to stop living with a space that doesn't work for you, I'm officially taking clients beginning February 2026! DM for inquiries.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and these mudroom lockers definitely weren't either. 🤷‍♀️

Staying true to my 5-year-long plan to renovate this room, two months into building these lockers and they're... still not 100% complete. BUT I've made some pretty dang good progress.

Stick around for the big reveal—coming in, oh, 8 to 10 years or so. 😂

Empty nook? Never heard of her. 😉

Back in January, this corner was on my hit list for a cabinet glow-up. After slowly chipping away at it, it’s officially done—hardware and all.

One nook down, one mudroom to go. Stay tuned. ✨

Spoiler alert: mudroom magic is finally underway! ✨

Building custom storage doesn't happen overnight. After years of dreaming about this build, it feels so good to watch it start coming together.
