Tortie was inspired by my cat's love of interrupting me while I'm crafting something, especially when it involves paper or string.

Printed some new signage and people seemed to be interested in testing out the machine after either buying a token or buying enough to get a freebie. Tbh I was glad that it got so much more use than usual, which brought some more attention and curiosity on over.

All in all, a fun day and I think worth my time. I made a new friend! I got through some awkward sleepy conversations with total strangers and sold some books! I figured out how my payment systems work! I figured out what signage to use! Great time, better booth and engagement, and I think I’ll put together some more slideshows for future engagement too!

Just some things for the next spring shows. I’ve been getting better and better at attaching the covers and keeping them nice and taut. I think having a longer spine has something to do with the reduced wobble too. Different kinds of paper. Some of it is nice thick text woven, some of it is laid, blended “cold press” watercolor paper.

If you want one, let me know and I’ll put it aside for you! All my other ones were either snatched up or pulled for my own use due to water damage and subsequent staining :-/

I think the patterns, too, are more subdued. I love me some screen prints!

I’m not the neatest when I’m making stuff, but I think it all works out in the end!
I do lots of the stitching portion on the couch and drive my partner crayzee with the stuff. Lately I’ve been using little crafting containers like this bowl to contain the smaller things and keep them from spreading out and falling under couch cushions and the floor. See? I’m learning!

Photo albums as promised - and they always turn out so attractive! 20 pages hand stitched and cased cardstock. A lot of (dry, clean hands) blood sweat and tears (no, seriously, I no longer even wear nail polish that scuffs the paper when binding it’s all good). A really cool project I’d been putting off for months.
