The commercial fishing season may have come to an end, but our journey through God's Word continues!

We're still making our way through the Book of Acts, following the incredible story of the commercial fishermen and other believers who boldly shared the Gospel after Jesus' resurrection.

As another commercial fishing season comes to a close and we finish our daily journey through the Gospel of John, we're excited to continue following the lives of the commercial fishermen who put their faith in Jesus and answered His call to follow, love, and serve Him.

Tomorrow, we begin reading through the Book of Acts—the story of how ordinary fishermen became bold witnesses for Christ and shared the good news of the Gospel throughout the world!

Join us each morning beginning at 9:00 AM as we read one chapter a day together.

This summer, we were blessed to host several ministry teams at the radio station. Many of the voices you'll hear reading are volunteers who served at The Net. Our prayer is that as we continue reading God's Word together, He will open your heart, strengthen your faith, and draw you closer to Him.

We'd love for you to join us as we continue this journey through God's Word—one chapter at a time.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

Before there was a revolution, there was revival. During the Great Awakening that took place in the years leading up to the American Revolution, preachers like George Whitefield and Jonathan Edwards reminded people that true freedom and eternal life are found in Jesus Christ. That message is just as powerful today.

Galatians 5:1 reminds us:
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

As we celebrate our nation's independence, we also give thanks for the freedom and eternal life found in Christ.

As we head into the summer season, we wanted to give you a heads-up about a few programming changes that begin this evening at 7:00 PM.

Each year during the fishing season, KAKN airs fishing announcements several times throughout the day, along with extended weather reports. Because these programs can vary in length, and with most hours also carrying SRN News, we're making some adjustments to our schedule to better accommodate the additional programming.

One of the biggest changes you'll notice is that our kids' programs are moving from Saturday mornings to Saturday afternoons. We hope you and the kids in your life can enjoy listening to these programs together!

We'll be sharing our complete schedule soon and will also have it available on our website: kakn.org
