Lift #846
Good Morning!
Prayer: Lord, help me this morning to see your hand over my life, and let me hear your voice. You are bigger than my junk, my baggage, and my fear. Show me the next move you have for me. In Jesus name, Amen
Acronym for today: J.U.N.K.
God doesn't make junk. Often, the world, and our enemy’s voice will tell us just the opposite. It will say you are not all that. He will tell you, you may as well not listen to any advice. He says, “I will show you how hopeless everything is. Just look at all your junk. No one can fix that”.
All that noise is a lie! Let me say it clearly. God doesn’t make junk! Never has, and He never will. This thought is addressed in places all over His Word, the Bible. God has plans, big plans! No matter your age or situation. It doesn’t matter what decisions you're facing. God has something real for you and it is approaching faster than you can imagine. What you need is a focus change. God made you, formed you and created your mind, your heart, and your body. He created you for purpose, destiny, and His Divine Intentions!
David wrote a psalm that speaks directly to you today. If you will acknowledge God, and simply say “Somehow, right now, I praise you God, for me. You made me, and knew me, before I was born. God, I need your help!”
Psalm 139:14 says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”
The psalmist wrote, just a few verses back. “We have hung our harps in the willow trees”.(Psalms 137:2)
He had stopped, given in, and was in captivity, simply because his joy for God was gone. What changed in his mind?
David realized that God was there, everywhere He turned. He was never alone, but simply was looking in all the wrong places. He was searching in his junk, his thoughts, his fears, his failures, and his discouragement. Maybe, that is you today. David realized God knew all about it. All of it.
God had already searched it out, and was still there, waiting for David to say, “Even though
I am surrounded by my junk, You can still see me, and reach me”. So, “I will praise you, in my junk.” That is all God needed. A willing heart, that would seek Him, and acknowledge Him.
Psalms 139:1-10
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”
I am not sure who this is for. You may be like a boat, adrift, with no anchor. Perhaps, today, the waves are throwing you ten different directions, and your junk is being flung all around you. You are tipping left, then right, wondering if that next wave is going to be the one that destroys you. God wants you to know, He is not just the place you can anchor, but His voice, is the one that calms every storm. His right hand will hold you fast and secure.
He has something for us all that cannot be denied. Love, coupled with power to hold, power to guide, and power to deliver! He is a storm stopper. There is an undeniable grace, and mercy, that awaits those who ask. That is defined as favor and compassion. That fact, when realized, will lead you on the path to joy. The Bible says, joy gives us strength, and that strength, provides us with a place for peace.
Acronym answer : J.U.N.K. = Joy, Understanding, New Knowledge
Trade in your junk for new joy. Trade in your junk for new understanding. Trade in your junk for new knowledge. Trade your junk in, and find new joy and new peace.
Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
Let God clear out the rubble and clear your mind, heart, and spirit. He is a Waymaker!
J.O.Y. = Jesus, Others & YOU! He is not just for others. He is for you!
Have a great day! Terry T.
