New in the store! These three beautifully crafted porcelain Italian puppies sit on their bed, and are the perfect addition to any shelf or stack of books. This one piece sculpture is perfect for interiors and lovers of midcentury Italian pottery design. Signed Italy at the bottom, these were produced in a short runs, with the best versions painted in high detail (as seen here as this is one of the best made). Date from late 40’s early 1950’s. Measures 8” wide, 7” tall, and 6” deep. No chips or cracks, again rare to find in this condition. Chinese Ginger Jar ⚪️🔵

The history of Ginger Jars dates back to the Qin Dynasty days (around 227 BCE-207 BCE!) as a way to store valuable spices such as salt and ginger. Today interior designers use these historic beauties as a way to add color and character to a space.

We just added this spectacular pair of Victorian porcelain Staffordshire Dogs to the shop! These were a mainstay in homes both in the Edwardian and Victorian age. These two pieces are in impeccable condition and have been well cared for for over 100 years!

Details: Staffordshire Early Victorian, classic Staffordshire dogs. Ceramic, free of chips or cracks. This set is an identical pair, although each is hand painted and unique in their own right.

There are no identifying maker marks on these as they were produced in small batches by various small pottery companies consisting of 15-20 employees each.

Measures: L-7 x W-5 x H-11 inches.

Each dog weights nearly 3 lbs. each.
