CUTE SHOE ALERT! 🚨 I had to have these adorable mesh oxford flats and they are super comfy straight out of the box for all-day wear! I sized up half a size bc I have a wider foot, but otherwise I would say order true to size. Soooo comfy, flattering and stylish. (earns commissions)

If you’re a fan of the Frank & Eileen French terry separates, then you’ll love this inspired budget two-piece set. It’s under $40 vs. over $400!! The terry is notably thinner, which honestly I prefer. This is a seriously good lounge set. I’d buy it for the top alone!👚

We got a new puppy! 🐶 This is George, a toy Goldendoodle, and today I’m testing three front carriers because this little guy wants to be held constantly! He’s a “Velcro dog” apparently. We got a crossbody sling (my husband’s favorite), a “doggy bjorn” front carrier, and a baby sling kangaroo pouch. Love them all, but the sling is the best for him at this age (he’s only 6 lbs).

It’s a great time to grab items now while everything is still in-stock and not priced at a premium!!

Here’s my advice on things that are actually safe to buy ahead for the dorms - the essentials they will need no matter what, no matter the dorm setup:

SAFE TO BUY NOW
1. Twin XL bedding - foam topper (grab it now!!), sheets, comforter or duvet, mattress protector, pillows, etc.
2. Shower stuff - shower shoes, caddy, robe, towels/washcloths (2-3 sets)
3. Laundry essentials - detergent, color catcher sheets, dryer sheets, portable laundry bag, hamper, body wash, etc.
4. Fan - a must-have, so grab one on sale!
5. Air purifier - do not skip this essential for staying healthy in the dorms
6. Small vacuum - this is my son’s top pick for dorm essentials
7. Moving bags - I prefer those that open trunk style.
8. Power strips/extension cords - you’re going to need multiple and will likely go back for more later!
9. Reusable water bottle - get the bottle, but wait to buy the filter/pitcher until you know more about your room.
10. School supplies - iPad, laptop, backpack - get it all on sale!

WAIT UNTIL YOU KNOW YOUR SETUP
1. Room decor - wait until you see the space + your roommate’s vibe
2. Kitchen stuff - you may not need it
3. Large furniture - almost always unnecessary
4. Small Furniture - wait until you know your specific room config to buy things like a bedside table, bed risers, ottoman, desktop shelf, etc.
5. Mini fridge/microwave - some colleges have specific requirements and you may want to coordinate with your roommate first
