A room designed for curling up with a good book and a warm cup of tea, as the garden just beyond the wraparound porch begins to bloom and stir in the freshness of spring. The traditionalist moves with quiet rhythm between porch and study—graciously welcoming guests at the threshold, then retreating inward to linger over pages, reflect, and restore in a space that feels both purposeful and deeply personal.

This is what a Traditional Soul Style looks like in the wild. You can almost feel the tea in your hand and hear neighbors strolling by. I’m on the front porch of a home my husband designed in historic Inglewood, where he grew up. The client has nurtured a gorgeous, mature hydrangea garden around the home. With the wraparound porches, outdoor fireplace and pool out back, this home truly lives outdoors for three full seasons. 🌿 Happy Earth Day.

Honored to be featured in Style Blueprint's "7 Tile Trends" article (link in bio!) exploring bold color, expressive pattern, and deeply personal application. Yes, color is having a moment. But in a soulful home, bold only works when it’s your bold: your tones, your contrasts, your emotional language. And personalization only resonates when it reflects the way you actually live, move, and feel in your space. Trends are here for you to play with, not to define you. Here’s a sampling of some of our work included in the piece, along with a few soulful projects from years past that still hold their ground today. ✨

There is something almost meditative about putting together a floral arrangement: the choosing, the trimming, the finding of the right vessel. And then you step back, and the whole room shifts. Light catches differently. The space breathes. That's what I've always believed about the layers that finish a home: the ones that bring nature in, that carry scent and color and something fleeting, those are the ones that make a home feel truly alive. Swipe through for a behind-the-scenes look, and let this be your spring inspiration. 💐🌿

This wishbone-shaped dogwood tree has been marking the seasons in my backyard for 69 years. It blooms right around the spring equinox, goes deep and lush through summer, blazes red in the fall, then settles into the most beautiful lacy canopy of bare branches...and then starts all over again. It's the jewel of my yard, and I never stop noticing it, whether I'm gathered around the outdoor table with friends or catching a glimpse of it from inside the studio. Some things just anchor a place. This tree is one of them.

Happy Spring Equinox!🌍
