A moment for the

When we moved from Canada to Texas, I expected to lose a lot. Friends, family, my business, and community. But spoiler alert, we didn’t lose any of that. If anything, our connections and relationships grew even stronger.

We’ve also built an entire new community here and are surrounded by joyful new friends who make us all so happy.

But what I lost…

The weight.

The one I carried on my shoulders trying to be a mom, a wife, an entrepreneur and simply myself. I never sat and watched my daughter shoot pucks. I’d set her up then run to my shop to work, or go film, or go run errands.

I multitasked every moment of my life. And it was so heavy. I didn’t even feel it anymore. I just dragged myself through the motions to try to stay ahead.

And when we moved to Texas, it slowly got lighter. My house doesn’t have to be perfect, my shop can be closed, and my focus can be on myself.

I am at every school event, every game, and my phone is no longer attached to me 24/7. I’m present. I’m happy.

Life feels slower, more intentional, and less of a race.

And it helps that I also physically lost 25lbs (proud of myself for that 💪).

Sometimes you have to lose something to truly see what you’ve gained.

Last but not least, this cutie math dragon! Now who wants my kids in their class?? 🤣 I’m still shook that my kids are done school for the summer!! What are your summer plans? I need ideas stat!
