Starting the new week with another iPhone archive project. This was the bathroom in the pool house of a Dadu we designed. The marble checkered floor and radius cabinet still make my heart skip a beat. We did a Roman clay on the walls above the tile wainscoting to layer some texture. Don’t mind my poorly lit photos, this one didn’t have a window.

I’m opening up the archives this month on projects we’ve worked on, but never got to photograph. I have lots of albums on my phone with pictures like these that I never shared. In the past, I felt like my feed needed to be perfect, which meant professional photos only. Now that the Instagram community is embracing the fact that nothing is perfect and we can just show up here as we are, I get to share some mediocre photos of some very not mediocre spaces. We worked with on this project. It was my first time working with an architect that also was responsible for executing the job and, I have to say, it was simply magical. Their attention to detail, down to the beautiful drawings, was such a treat. I’d shoot every one of my project babies if I could but my business partner(my husband) makes me stick to the budget.

Very much in my color era. My dopamine hits lately have been coming from color. I want people to walk into a room and have a reaction. Granted, sometimes it’s a bad reaction, but a reaction nonetheless. As long as the world is a little less dull, I’m happy. Included is my 6 year olds reaction when she saw this bathroom.
