I grew up on Rockville Rd., and all my life I drove past these buildings in town. Never once did I imagine that one day my husband and I would be the ones purchasing properties in the Fairless community — not for gain, but to give them life again. To turn them into place

s where people can gather, make memories, feel welcomed, and feel proud of where they live. We do this for the community and for the future generations who will come after us. My husband and I coach, we run two other businesses, and we started The Main Impact Foundation to support children and families who need help making life just a little easier. We love children and we believe in their hope for the future. One day we won’t be here anymore, and my only wish is that we gave enough back that even one child is inspired to build on whatever impact we made — and that they, too, try to make the world a better place. Today’s world can feel like it’s all about who you know, who you say yes to, and people being afraid to stand for what they believe in because of pushback. But I can stand here today and say this: I am not a yes person. I am a person who believes in accountability. I stand behind what I say and what I believe in. And I will never let anyone tell me what I’m worth or what I’m allowed to build. You can only control yourself and what you put into this life. Hard work, dedication, confidence, and loyalty will always put you on the path you were meant to be on. You may lose people along the way, but that’s part of growth. It’s surprising how, when you rise and stay honest with yourself, you start to see people’s true colors — especially the ones who try to pull you down. We are building. We are giving back. And we believe in this community with everything we have.

Sometimes when you’re feeling discouraged in people… someone shows up and reminds you there is still so much good in this world.

Today, right before the end of the day, a close friend stopped by and surprised us with these absolutely beautiful ferns for Merchants on Main. He specifically did not want recognition — but we just want him to know how incredibly thankful we are.

The amount of love, support, encouragement, and outreach from this community truly overwhelms us in the best way possible. Small acts of kindness like this mean more than people will ever realize.

Lately, I’ve been pretty disappointed in humanity… but today genuinely put a smile back on my face. And honestly, all of your comments, messages, and support lately have truly touched our hearts more than you know.

To the people who continue to support us, encourage us, pray for us, shop with us, and simply show up for us — thank you. We do not take it for granted. ❤️

It’s a pretty disappointing world when someone feels comfortable stealing ferns off a building that houses something we work hard to give back to the community.

Not because of the plants themselves — but because of what it says about people.

Everything we have has come from long hours, sacrifice, stress, risk, and hard work. Small businesses do not survive on luck. They survive because people pour everything they have into them, day after day, even when nobody sees it.

So for someone to walk up and take from that without a second thought is incredibly telling.

Some people build things.
Some people contribute to their community.
And some people wait until nobody is looking and take what doesn’t belong to them.

The difference between those kinds of people always shows eventually.

We’ll replace the two ferns.
Character, unfortunately, is much harder to replace.
