Happy Finished Object Friday!

Today I’m finally blocking some projects…

In the center is the Vine Pullover by Rountree Stitchery knit up in malabrigo Seis Cabos in the color Flama.

Surrounding it are multiple crochet washcloths stitched up using a variety of cotton yarns from Cascade Yarns and Queensland yarns.

Happy Finished Object Friday!

We’ve got two projects for the community to share today!

First up is Melissa, she has finished the first panel of her first sweater project! Melissa is a new knitter and is very determined, through all the hiccups, she hasn’t given up. We are very proud of her! 😍

Next up is Linda, She just finished her “Eye Dazzler Sweater” by Jennifer Berg. This is a top down, stranded colorwork design. Linda modified this pattern to fit her torso proportions and we think she did a beautiful job! 😍

Just finished reconstructing the sleeve of this Handmade Aran sweater.

Extensive damage was done to this beautiful garment but my customer was hoping I could make something work for her so she wouldn’t have to toss it (She does properly store her wool sweaters but somehow missed this one last year). She’s into visible mending and requested a darker brown yarn for the mend which is a plus.

Creative problem solving is a must for projects like this one, as it would just be easier to remake the sweater from scratch. I may need to line a whole portion with fabric because the extent of the damage makes that area structurally unsound. I hope she goes for that idea. 🤞🏼

This is a slow going and labor intensive process but, as a perfectionist, I am fairly satisfied with this portion.
