Today's the day! We will be in the Red Lantana Meeting room beginning at 10am. Mostly talk about what y'all want to do, but feel free to bring show & tell, some handwork to do while we chat, ideas, questions, more! I'm bring a bunch of ideas in a comp book, a clipboard with extra paper just in case, and graph paper for a design I'm working on. Hope to see you there, even if you can only stay for a while 🎉 -Deanne

For those who have beenaround for a long time... Greta turned 24 last Saturday!! She had a full day with friends in Laramie and Ft. Collins, so I didnt get pics until yesterday. I'm adding a couple extra - she is designing upcycled clothing and was on the UW campus organization team to put on a fashion show, on MY birthday a few weeks ago. So proud 🥰
Happy Belated, my sweet, all grown-up baby girl!!!

(Firsr pic is bday -art history major, with museology and entrepreneurship minors, so an art museum was a must! One in light green outfit is modeling her design, one in dress with star, she modeled for another student.)

Hello, all. I am really struggling physically still, but so miss being around quilters. Is anyone interested in meeting at the New Braunfels public library for a few free classes, or even just touching base, to see what I can do for my quilting friends? Smaller meeting rooms are available for non-machine opportunities; while the large meeting room can accommodate a machine/pressing/cutting area, etc., with enough people, for classes where machines are required. I wont charge for the classes, in accordance with library policy, but will have supplies available for purchase as needed, accept gratuities, and can take in tops to quilt, and more. I am currently working on two custom quilts at home, as well as many for Villa Rosa. I'm unfortunately resorting to a walker and/or wheelchair, but still designing, piecing as I am able, and quilting when I can manage the trip to the HandiQuilter machines. Wish I had one at home!!!
Give me some feedback about the library option, please. I miss y'all!!

🎋 Happy to say I have secured a new location (at least temporary; hoping it works well for long-term, too!) for Quilt Haus classes, HandiQuilter rentals, rental classes, and technique classes, as well as quilting services and more. We are currently moving and settling in, then pics and location (between NB and SA) will be shared. There are more in the works, too, for even greater flexibility and convenience for all those asking me for classes!
Stay tuned!!

Meanwhile... a freak moving accident landed me back in the hospital for a few days with some🦴 fractures and a collapsed lung. (Figures, huh? 🙃 My lung is well on the mend now🫁, which is the best news. Esp since the last hospital had better food! 🤔😋🤷‍♀️)

Quilt Haus will open today at 9am, break from 4-5:30, and then reopen until 7.. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY THE RETAIL STORE IN NEW BRAUNFElS WILL BE OPEN.
Additional discounts have been added in a few areas, and two HandiQuilter floor models sold yesterday, but others remain. (interested parties will be called again this morning).
