Having developed a communion with God through studying His Word, praying (using His word); witnessing His power in prayer, participating in prayers conducted by great Prayer Warriors (namely Mother Elsie Shaw, deceased); receiving inspiration from books on prayer (two that has inspired and changed my prayer life-completely!-- “Experiencing God Through Prayer” by Madame Jeanne Guyon, and “What It Means to Pray Through” by Mother Elizabeth Dabney)—I’ve grown and learned that there’s nothing like being able to be in the presence of God and to feel His Spirit in prayer! In 2005, as "1st Lady" of my church (a name given to Pastor's wives in some churches), I was inspired to design and create for my church kneeling prayer pillows. This inspiration quickly became a church “Sewing-circle” project! (The“Sewing Circle is a group of ladies (young and old), that come together to sew, teach others how to sew, make crafts, have devotion and fellowship). The project was a success, completed in about six months we had beautiful red pillows inscribed with the words "Humbly I Bow...". To this date the pillows are still being used in our weekly prayers!

When we forget to say our prayers, the Devil jumps with glee, but he feels so awful, awful when he sees us on our knees—I know he'll be unhappy because I'll never wear a frown so if I keep on smiling, [if I keep on praying], he'll get tired of hangin' around!" These are words from a childhood song that I would listen to on my portable 45-record player.

Inspire by a mother that taught her children to pray, from a young child, through teenage and young adult years, to becoming a wife (of a Pastor) and mother who has passed the same inspiration of prayer to her children, I AM TODAY A BELIEVER OF PRAYER!
