Can I fill you in on a little secret?

At the beginning of the year, I wrote down a list of things I wanted to accomplish this year. This one goal has been sitting on my to do list since January and remained virtually untouched.

Today that changes! But I need your help.

That one thing I really wanted to do was to create an email newsletter for me fellow flower lovers.

I want to share more about day to day life on the farm and let you be the first to know what's blooming.

Here's how you can help! Comment "Bloom" and I'll send you a link to my website where you can enter your email and subscribe to my newsletter.

I am so excited to share more of what's blooming straight to your inbox!

The day after Halloween, are you ditching the pumpkins for Christmas trees and jingle bells or are you holding on to fall through Thanksgiving?

Me- I'm holding onto my pumpkins for a little longer. But in the meantime, I am putting the final touches on this year's evergreen wreaths AND making sure Mother's Day 2027 is beautiful!

Planting tulips is a big chore in the fall and this year there are more than ever! We build temporary beds, plant the bulbs on a thin layer of compost, then tuck them in for the winter under another layer of compost.

PS- Don't forget - tell me what season you are celebrating, Team Fall or Team Christmas. I'm over here on team Fall-mas-Spring! 🥴

What an amazing pumpkin season it has been! I hope you loved the variety of colors as much as I did!

As pumpkin season wraps up, I'm busy making notes for next year's pumpkins.

Ps- Let me know in the comments - what pumpkins do you want to see more of next year?

It's dried flower season! I have been harvesting, bunching, and drying blooms all season long in preparation for dried flower season.

You can get your hands on these locally grown dried bouquets this week at the_promise_blend !

The dahlias bed is nothing but a frostbitten pile of leaves and stems. We won't see these blooms again until next summer.

The flowers may have faded, but dahlias are a crop that requires attention all 12 months of the year. Today I finished digging every plant out of the ground and rinsed the dirt. Next I will double and triple label each variety and place them in a cool storage storage shed for the winter. This winter, I'll check them for rot and protect them from extreme cold. As spring approaches, I'll prepare each tuber for planting, and care for them until we see the next round of blooms.

For today, I'll take the win. I don't think I have ever had my dahlias out of the ground this soon. On to the next project- tulips!

The last few nights placed a heavy layer of frost over the garden, but some how, these strawflowers are still blooming beautifully!

You know what that means? Lots more dried bouquets to enjoy!

10/19/2026

The flowers may be gone but there is still lots of work to do around the farm.

Next up is composting the frosted plants and preparing the garden for winter. Over the next few weeks, the focus will shift to planting spring bulbs. ( I think you are going to love the tulip varieties I am growing this season! )

While all of this is happening, I am also putting the final touches on the evergreen wreath launch.

Ps- wreath pre-orders are going live November 6th! 😉

In one night, we lost it all. The dahlias, the zinnias, all of it.

The frost has ended another beautiful flower season. Thank you to everyone who took home bouquets from our farm. Each season you encourage me to dream a little bigger and I am so grateful.

As the garden season comes to a close, I'm wrapping up the details on our fresh wreath release. Stay tuned for all the details!
