Over the past few months, you've had a firsthand look at the people, studios, teams, software, and collaboration that make DIG such a special place and bring our work to life. We hope your time with us provided valuable knowledge and insights as you continue on your professional journeys.

We wish you all the best and have no doubt that you'll crush whatever comes next. Don’t be strangers! We hope to see you again soon, especially Tyler, who will be rejoining us as an intern this fall! 👷‍♂️

The ribbon has officially been cut on Saddle River Day School's Dr. Kristen Walsh Hall of Science and Entrepreneurship! ✂️ DIG Architecture was proud to be in attendance for the ceremony and to help usher in a new era of learning and innovation! 🔬

Designed by DIG, this 33,000 SF new construction includes 19 new classrooms, four science laboratories, three specialty learning spaces, and flexible spaces for robotics, engineering, and entrepreneurship. 👨‍🔬 The facility is also home to a commons, collaboration areas, and a new admissions center to support new student recruitment and engagement.

It has been our pleasure to watch this important project move from design to construction to welcoming students. 👏 Congratulations to the entire project team!

And last but not least, let's hear from our final DIG Summer Intern James Jackman, who joined us as an Architectural Intern this past June! 👋 A Rutgers Preparatory School graduate, he is currently enrolled in the integrated B.S. + Master of Architectural Design & Technology program at the University of Hartford, focusing on thoughtful, environmentally responsive design.

James shared the following about his time at the firm...💭

"My internship with DIG Architecture this summer has been an amazing experience. I learned how to collaborate on projects and what it means to be part of an architectural team. One thing that I love about DIG is that I gained hands-on experience. By doing so, I feel that I have vastly improved my technical skills.

Another great part of the community and culture at DIG is the focus on learning and growing. During my internship, every Wednesday, the firm held a Summer Technology Series. During this series, a variety of architecture-related software were introduced and demonstrated how they can be applied to both personal and professional work. I liked these meetings because they provided an environment where I could ask questions and learn as much as I could about the software. Not only was it a way to increase our knowledge of software, but it was a good way to bond as team.

Overall, my internship at DIG has been invaluable and has given me the opportunity to gain real world experience working on an architectural team, while catering to my individual growth. I look forward to taking what I learned from DIG into the upcoming school year."

It was all smiles earlier this month for DIG Architecture Principal Jaime Masler Beach, who accepted her award at The Palace at Somerset Park following her inclusion in the 2026 NJBIZ Leading Women in Business! 🏆

These are professionals who have made a significant impact on business in New Jersey and this year’s more than 60 honorees span all industries, including finance, healthcare, law, technology and more. After an open nomination process, a panel of independent judges selected this year’s award recipients using a points system to evaluate submissions. 👩‍💼 Congrats, Jaime! 👏

Let's hear from DIG Architecture Summer Intern Michaela Pestano, who joined us as a Marketing Intern this past June! 👋 Michaela is currently studying Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has already built an impressive portfolio of leadership and creative experience.

She shared the following about her time with us this summer... 💭

"Since working at DIG, I've learned so much about architecture while seeing it from a different perspective. I was able to learn how to present projects and team members both visually and communicatively through graphics, storytelling, and branding. This experience has taught me how to be detail-oriented, while also having the ability to step back and see the overall picture.

Working with the marketing team has been such a fun, collaborative experience for me, and I'm really glad I had the opportunity to grow as a designer in a more visionary capacity. One of my favorite moments while working in marketing was getting to take photos of everyone at the July DIG-In when we were all in line for ice cream.

I look forward to using the skills and experiences I've gained at DIG as I work towards completing my B.Arch degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and my upcoming study abroad experience in Latin America. Going forward, I'm excited to explore everything that architecture and design have to offer!"

That blueberry has to win one day, right... 🫐

It was a beautiful night at the ballpark for our Annual DIG Architecture Baseball Night! ⚾ Earlier this month the DIG home team gathered at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater to watch the other home team Somerset Patriots take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats!

There was plenty of fun, food, camaraderie, peanuts, cracker jacks and we didn't care if we ever got back. Until next year! 🧢
