A year ago, this was just an empty space.
It’s kind of crazy to look at these pictures now and remember that this is where our little corner at The Mercantile in Pendleton began.
There was a lot happening behind the scenes that you can’t see in these photos. A lot of decisions, a lot of work, and honestly, a lot of wondering if we could really pull it all together. We were already balancing full lives and everything that comes with running a small business with just the two of us, and suddenly we had this whole new space to build.
But we believed in it. So we got to work.
And within just a couple of weeks, that empty corner started becoming something that felt like ours. Little by little, shelf by shelf, product by product.
And somehow, it’s been a whole year. 🥹
This little space has come to mean so much to us. It’s introduced us to new customers, new friends, and a community we hadn’t been a part of before. We’re incredibly grateful for every person who has stopped by our shelves, picked something up, smelled a candle, or taken a little piece of what we make home with them.
And now, we get to celebrate one whole year at The Mercantile in Pendleton. 🤎
The Mercantile’s 1st Anniversary Celebration is this Saturday, September 5th. We’re so happy to be a part of it, and we hope you’ll stop by and celebrate! 🤎
